Day 0

Preparation Day

Technically, your first day is a preparation day, hence today is Day 0 :-)

Before you begin with implementing the lunar self-care strategies that I will be teaching you in this course, it is helpful to know where you are starting from.

I have put together a Prep Guide to get you thinking about self-care and how you practice it right now. You will be able to come back to this in a week from now and see if you have made any changes and how these have made you feel.

Day 1

Make a Sacred Space

Today you will learn about making a sacred space. The reason for making a sacred space is that it can help you to create mindful moments to have quiet reflection and to do activities such as journaling, meditation, prayer, listening to music, using oracle or tarot cards or doing other spiritual rituals.

By having a special space that you can call your own to spend a few minutes every day, it helps to build in time to your day for self-care and nourishing your spirituality pillar. It helps to remind you to have time to connect with your inner-self, tap into your intuition and tune into the divine.

You don’t need a huge space or anything fancy. It can be a simple altar on a table or bookshelf or a whole room if you have that available. Get creative with utilising a corner, a windowsill or even a special chair or cushion. It can be anywhere that you can feel comfortable and relaxed and where you can put some meaningful items.

I recommend using all the senses in selecting your items for your space- simple candles, favourite books, little nick-knacks, incense, collected shells and feathers or essential oils, crystals and fabrics that you can arrange in a way that looks nice and makes it feel like your own private sanctuary to retreat in every day.

Day 2

The Power of Lunar Tracking

Today, you will start tracking the Moon!

Today I will share more about the lunar cycle and phases, what to expect and what you can do in each phase and how you can start to track the Moon.

Adding a lunar tracking ritual to your day has so many benefits. It can help you to feel calmer and more peaceful, less stressed, it will deepen your relationship with yourself and the natural rhythms and cycles and can help you to know what really makes you feel happy.

Following the Moon cycle daily, along with practicing special Full Moon and New Moon rituals, has been a game-changer for me and how I navigate my life. Adding a lunar tracking ritual to your day has so many benefits. It can help you to feel calmer and more peaceful, less stressed, it will deepen your relationship with yourself and the natural rhythms and cycles and can help you to know what really makes you feel happy.

Day 3

Creating a Sacred Morning Routine

Today you will explore your morning routines and rituals.

One of the best ways that I have learned that we can stay focused on our goals and intentions in our personal life and business/work is through creating a morning ritual for success. One of the keys to creating a nourishing morning routine and building sacred rituals into your day is first create an intention for how you want to feel in your life and to then mindfully build into your morning little rituals that help you to feel that way and to do these every day (whenever possible!).

A ritual can be thought of as a sacred routine that you do every day to be present, mindful and have time for you to bring you closer to how you want to be and feel in the day ahead.

If we don’t have a nourishing daily routine then we are more likely to start the day off on the wrong footing, to get swamped by emails and drowning in social media and not feel any closer to living our life with the intentions that we desire to have.

Day 4

Evening Magic Hour

Rest and relaxation is the very essence of self-care. This is where we make sure we get enough (good quality) sleep every day, that we carve out time for nice things (like those bubble baths and massages that we always think about when it comes to practicing self-care!) and making sure we have playfulness and fun in our lives.

When we focus on rest and relaxation we can keep stress at a minimum and a lot of the negative knock-on effects that come with stress (such as high cortisol levels) won’t cascade into other health problems. It can be a vicious cycle when you don’t get enough rest, which can mean ups and downs in your energy and mood. When we have enough rest and relaxation then we can think, feel and behave much more healthfully.

The problem for most of us is that we don’t allow ourselves this precious time. Which brings me to encouraging you to make an evening Magic Hour a regular part of your day!
